People have feelings, and people use that to love (:

When I was young, I was really happy every time someone told me they loved me.
I used to look forward to bedtime every day when Mommy would come and tuck us in.
Cos after that she'd say a simple, "I Love You"

You would think that after all these years, I'd be sick of hearing it every night.
Maybe those three words would seem less significant.

On the contrary, because its no longer said,
A simple word of love from people around me means a lot more than anything else.

And to many people out there
Having someone tell them that they're loved really does make them feel that little bit better about themselves
It makes them a little more optimistic about what's to come
Being loved makes us feel protected and safe.

I wish we all grew up in a place where love runs freely and where love is bravely said.
We all know our parents love us. They provide for us, they care for us more than anything else
We know we love our parents too. We buy their favourite food back for them when we're out. We share secrets with them.

But still,
I wish we dared to tell each other.

You know you love your parents, and they loved you.
But if you were to look at this instant, how many of you could walk up to tell them that you loved them.

"Helloe Mom."
"Yes?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to tell you I love you"

There's something about this word that makes it so hard for people to say.
Even when we know this love is reciprocated,
A part of us takes it for granted.
Its never said out now, nor is it ever declared
Its as if, its now something to be ashamed of. To be told you're loved.

Some people/couples are willing to go on the phone for hours even when they normally dont like talking on the phone
As long as they get to hear the person on the other end say: I Love You

Why?
Because hearing that makes people feel happy and secure all over again.

They sleep better after hearing that
They continue with their work with more energy after hearing that
They feel that no problem is too big after hearing that
They like hearing that.

Life likes taking deep hard digs at you especially when you were just thinking,

Right so I did think today was off to a great start!

But He reached out to me in the strangest of ways

One particular Sunday we had a visitor in our church. He arrived early, parked his car, and got out.

Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, "I always park there. You took my place!"

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat, and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!"

The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit. You took my place!"

He decided to lay on his hot girlfriend's lap cos it tickled her more
(... That's a smart guy, give him that)

Then his phone rang!
Yep, the usual way directors ruin all the sweet-aww lovey dovey

And guess what!
Phonecall to Work.
At Ten in the damn night
Right as he was snuggling on his girl's lap
About to get laid before she flew to the U.S

AND HE LEFT FOR WORK!

The girl left the comfort of her nicely done-up condo unit
To send her boyfriend to WORK!

Not only did she not bitch about the fact that she wasn't going to get laid,
She was being all nice about it and sending him down!

And hence, tragedy struck!

Because in the short span of time she sent her boy down,

The murderer:
1. Took the lift up to her house
2. Picked the door lock and got in
3. Planned an extraordinary feat of staging a blackout when it mattered
4. Stole a green apple from her table
5. Stood in the middle of her room
6. Threw the apple with one hand and caught it
7. Did not get noticed
8. Made it appear that:
1. The door lock did not just get picked
2. An apple wasn't stolen from her bowl

After she came back,
She washed the cups, and TADA!

Bullet Point Number 3 took hold!

There was a blackout!
So she calmly walked to the control box and switched everything back on
And look really pleased with herself!

Which made me wonder if that was really something to be worth smiling over...

Then PRESTO!
The lights flickered on and the killer was right behind her smiling
And taking bites of the apple!

... Then she got talked to, flung onto the table
..... AND THE DAMN SHOW ENDED

Now I'm going off to sleep an unhappy boy!

Cos I never know if she died
(Actually I do, cos its a MediaCorp show)
